Competence Centre Young Audiences
When it comes to young target groups, the way journalism is presented needs to be reconsidered. The Competence Centre Young Audiences (CCYA) in Hamburg is our practical laboratory, where we bring together young people, journalism and media education. Together with school pupils, trainees and students, we test and develop innovative journalistic formats, projects and new teaching concepts for our partners.

How schools and young people interested in media can participate
Young people play a central role in the Competence Centre for Young Audiences. They are actively involved in the development and testing of new teaching concepts and digital media formats. Their participation encourages them to reflect on their media usage behaviour, contribute their perspectives to the design of future formats, and experience self-efficacy.
Contact with students is usually established through dedicated teachers and schools, who can use the CCYA's resources to complement their teaching. Our specialists carry out prepared exchange formats and teaching modules either as part of a school lesson or during project days, depending on the scope and agreement.
Interested in participating? We would be happy to tell you more and present our current offerings.
