New collaborative formats are needed, in which journalists can work alongside young target groups to develop new ideas or test concepts. This promotes a deep understanding of Gen Z's media usage and journalistic practice. For this, #UseTheNews Germany initiates projects and event formats, ensuring a permanent transfer of know-how through the close integration of science and media practice.

#UseTheNews investigates how young people use news today – and what that means for education. Based on that, we develop specific resources that teachers can use to strengthen news literacy and critical thinking in the classroom.
