Newscamps

At our interactive events, young people can immerse themselves in the world of journalism, produce their own content and exchange ideas with young journalists. The aim is to provide insights into editorial work, raise awareness of how to deal with fake news and teach news literacy skills. The Newscamps are organised in collaboration with numerous media partners and in cooperation with the Federal Agency for Civic Education (bpb).

How to become part of a news camp

Would you like to engage with young people, build a network of local German partners, and promote media literacy? With our support, you can organise a news camp or get involved in one – with workshops, interactive stations or talk formats. We look forward to hearing your ideas!

Do you want to have your say and get involved in shaping things? As a NewZee, you can take part in Newscamps, create social media content on site, moderate talks, and assist with the development of programme items. Your voice counts!

Want to bring news literacy to your German based school? Together with our partners, we can help you find the right format and prepare your students for democracy. Because strengthening news literacy means strengthening understanding of democracy.
